Freescape 3D Construction Kit
Freescape 3D Construction Kit
I just came across the review of the above when adding a new zzap issue to the site and was wondering if there were many PD type games released by people using the Kit?
You see loads of good and bad SEUCK games but I don't remember any DIY Freescape ones...

I haven't seen any on www.gamebase64.com - It's always nice to come across reader games.

I couldnt resist this thread whilst browsing for anything on the 3D Construction kit...Actually finding a ZZAP! Forum !!
Well later in ZZAP's life when it became ZZAP! 64 (Amiga) i did create a couple of games ( completed ones ) for the Amiga. The pic below shows them. But my claim to fame here is i actually won £50 from ZZAP! for the lower game Project Shield on thier monthly readers games !!!
If you want to try them out you can download them by clicking the link..
There ready to run ( pre-emulated ) just click Go.exe in the game dir !!

I'm confused and maybe you are as well? You completed two games for the Amiga but ZZap paid you to publish them? Zzap never had any Amiga stuff on the front of their mag, just C64 tapes.synchro wrote:i did create a couple of games ( completed ones ) for the Amiga. The pic below shows them. Can you explain?
I was confused too after reading that - do you mean CU Amiga?Iain wrote:I'm confused and maybe you are as well? You completed two games for the Amiga but ZZap paid you to publish them? Imagine the mess trying to fit it into the disk drive!Iain wrote:Unless Zzap had an amiga game on the B side of one of their tapes? Would have to be a mighty long tape to fit around 500k on it!

Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.
No i apologise !!!!
I did check ( although i "HONESTLY" thought it was ZAPP!! ) it was actually Amiga format !!
My Apologies as it was a long time ago. Amiga Format had a readers games section every month and paid £50 to each winner and i was lucky enough to be the first one.
Again im really sorry and of course feel pretty stupid but the 3D thread and my old favouite mag i got a little confused to say the least.
Anyway i hope somebody enjoyed the games and i will remove them in the morning
Having said that i still own my old 64 and emulate it both on PC and Xbox and i really did buy just about every issue of ZZAP !!! The Last Ninja series and beachHead being my ultimate old time favourites.
So i hope you dont mind if i stick around ??? Its a great forum

Re: Freescape 3D Construction Kit
Sorry I'm late to the party (by about seven years!), but I can provide the perfect link to address the ponderings posed within this thread.
There is a site dedicated to the 3D Construction Kit. The C64 3DCK games can be found at URL
http://www.3dconstructionkit.co.uk/game ... ore64.html
This site also hosts the 3D Construction Kit User Group fanzines that were dedicated to the program.

Re: Freescape 3D Construction Kit
Nice. Perhaps you should promote your site around a bit on the Lemon64 forum which is the premier C64 chat place. Maybe others will start contributing new games
